Administration
Wyandot Middle School is a caring and learning community that seeks to work together in partnership with parents and students to help students to grow and positively contribute to the school environment. Administrators are here to help to maintain a culture and climate that makes the students feel safe and a part of something productive.

Dress Code
Wyandot Middle School Student Dress Guidelines Chippewa Valley Schools respects students’ rights to express themselves in the way they dress. All students who attend Chippewa Valley Schools are also expected to respect the school community by dressing appropriately for a K-12 educational environment. Student attire should facilitate participation in learning as well as the health and safety of students and the adults who supervise them. These guidelines are intended to provide guidance for students, staff, and parents/guardians. Minimum Requirements:
- Clothing must cover areas from one armpit across to the other armpit, down to approximately 3 to 4 inches in length on the upper thighs (see image). Tops must have shoulder straps. Rips or tears in clothing should be lower than the 3 to 4 inches in length
- Shoes must be worn at all times and should be safe for the school environment.
- See-through or mesh garments must not be worn without appropriate coverage underneath that meet the minimum requirements of the dress code.
- Hats, hoods, and caps are not allowed unless permitted for religious, medical, or other reason by school administration.
- Specialized courses may require specialized attire, such as sports uniforms or safety gear.
Additional Requirements
- Clothing may not depict, imply, advertise, or advocate illegal, violent, or lewd conduct, weapons, or the use of alcohol, tobacco, marijuana, or other controlled substances.
- Clothing may not depict or imply pornography, nudity, or sexual acts.
- Clothing may not display or imply vulgar, discriminatory, or obscene language or images.
- Clothing may not state, imply, or depict hate speech/imagery targeting groups based on race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, religious affiliation, or any other protected classification.
- Sunglasses may not be worn inside the building.
- Clothing and accessories that endanger student or staff safety may not be worn.
The administration at each school reserves the right to determine what constitutes appropriate dress. Students who do not adhere to these guidelines will not be allowed to attend class. Parents will be called if appropriate clothing is not available or the student refuses dress-code appropriate clothing.
Parking Lot Procedures
Student Drop Off / Pick Up
As we continue to navigate through the busy Wyandot traffic, please pack your patience! Students must exit cars at the drop off curb. Do not have students exit your car anywhere besides our sidewalk, especially on the main street of Garfield! Also, when students exit while stopped in our parking lot, it causes a large backup to the process. Most importantly, this is not safe for your child. It is also critical that cars do not use our bus loop/exit to leave our parking lot. Busses need access to this, and it is not safe to have cars driving through preventing this traffic flow. Please do your part to keep our students and staff safe at arrival and departures.

Athletics & Activities Payments
PaySchools allows parents to pay for school fees online. Parents will submit fees for athletics, field trips and clubs using the PaySchools system. Use the link below to pay for Wyandot Athlectics and other Activities.
Health Clinic
The Wyandot clinic services students with various health needs or concerns. Some of the services we provide to students include diabetic care, asthma care, prescription dispensing, first aide, and more. Our Health Aide is trained to handle many types of health needs. The clinic follows all state and district guidelines in regards to medications and medical treatments for schools.
Any student required to take prescription or non-prescription medication during the school day must do so through our clinic. Students are not allowed to carry any type of drug with them or keep drugs in their locker. Students who require medical treatments of any kind must also do so through our clinic.
Our clinic complies with state law requiring notification to parents when a communicable condition, such as lice or pink eye, is suspected regarding a student.

Anti-Bullying Programs
Wyandot Middle School takes the problem of bullying very seriously. Staff is proactive in preventing bullying and acts quickly to stop it. Wyandot has instituted several programs and tools for students and parents to properly deal with bullying issues.
Hero in the Hallway
Research tells us that one of the most effective ways to stop bullying is through peer pressure (as opposed to adult intervention). Hero in the Hallway is an anti-bullying program that empowers students to stop bullying. Students are taught how to recognize bullying and how to stop it on their own. Students are also taught how to prevent others from being bullied.
PBiS Program
Wyandot's PBiS program explicitly teaches students appropriate behavior during a school day. This program is a reward-based behavior modification system with interventions in place for students who need more focused attention on behavior issues. Counselor Classroom Presentations
Wyandot's grade level counselors visit classrooms to give direct instruction on how to identify, deal with, and report bullying behaviors. Counselors also meet with kids on a one-on-one basis to deal with bullying.
Harassment Forms
Sometimes students may feel harassed or bullied by other students in ways that make it hard to report to adults. A dirty look, nasty text message, talking behind one's back, etc. Harassment forms can be utilized in these instances to summarize negative behaviors so staff can better understand and deal with the problem. Harassment forms can be found in the counselor's offices and in the main office.
Wyandot Tip Line

Citizens Advisory Committee (CAC)
Parents are invited to be a part of our Citizens Advisory Committee (CAC). CAC meetings are an opportunity to meet with the principal and other parents to share your questions, concerns, and ideas, and to keep informed about current issues at our school.
Meetings start at 9:00 a.m. Please email Mrs. Kozouz if you would like to see a specific topic addressed at an upcoming meeting. Be sure to make your request at least one week prior to the scheduled meeting.
Positive Behavior Intervention & Supports Program
Wyandot's PBiS program helps teach students about appropriate behavior in various areas of school. Students are explicitly taught expected behaviors for hallways, classrooms, dining room, busses, events, and more. Below is our Behavior Matrix:
A reward system is used to recognize students when they are being respectful, responsible and safe. Hawk Honor Awards are given to students by staff when they witness students exhibiting behaviors from our matrix. Hawk Honor Awards can be redeemed for candy and prizes during student lunches.
A behavior intervention class is offered to students who need more instruction on school behavior. Parents will be contacted if their child qualifies for this class.
21st Century Classrooms
All of our classrooms are equipped with "21st Century Technology" which include built in smart board with projector and document camera, integrated classroom sound system with teacher microphone, and DVD blue ray player. Our media center also offers and variety of tech tools available to students such as digital cameras, wireless laptops, and tablets.
