Parking Lot Procedures

Our main goal is the safety of our students and that is why we have new procedures for our parent parking lot and drop off areas. Below you will find information in an effort to help things run smoother and safer for everyone.

Drop Offs

The Drop Off for parents will extend all the way to the white sign that reads, “No Drop Offs Beyond This Point.”
When dropping off your child, please pull up all the way to the white sign so that other cars can pull behind you and traffic can move smoothly.
Parents dropping off along the sidewalk, please do not let your child exit your vehicle from the left side (into traffic areas) as traffic may be flowing. Your child should exit from the right side of the vehicle onto the sidewalk.
Once your child has exited your vehicle, please pull ahead to exit the lot so that traffic can continue to flow.
Students are to only be dropped off in the Parent Parking lot and not in the Staff/Bus Parking Lot unless specific arrangements have been made.

Parking and Use of Crosswalks

Parents parking in the parent lot will use the crosswalks with our staff crossing guards. We have two crosswalks that you are able to use. This is for the safety of the parents and students.

Walkways

Please leave the walkways along the building open so that parents and students can easily walk without having to move into the parking lot. This is a concern along the sidewalk near the 2nd grade entrance doors.

Your Child Has a Library Card!

As homework ramps up, don’t forget, your child has a wonderful resource to assist in homework help and test preparation! At the beginning of the school year all students in Chippewa Valley Schools were issued a library card to the Clinton-Macomb Public Library. This card gives your child access to online resources such as online homework help, databases for research, use of the library’s public computers, including Office Suite and more.

To access these resources, your child may visit Clinton-Macomb Public Library and login using his or her student ID number and the last four digits of the phone number registered with the school for the password. If you have trouble logging in with the student ID number, it may mean that your child already has an existing card in the library’s system. If that is the case you will need to login using the library bar code. If you have questions, feel free to call the library at (586) 226-5020. A library team member will happy to assist you with any questions.
