Boys Basketball 2026-27 Tryout Dates

Tryouts for 7th grade boys basketball will be after school until 4:30 on the following dates:

10/29 & 11/4

7th Grade will not have practice on 11/5 and 11/6.

Tryouts for 8th grade boys basketball will be after school until 4:30 on the following dates:

11/4, 11/5, & 11/6

It is expected that boys will be at all 3 days of their respective tryout. Students MUST have a completed physical turned into Mr. Trombley in order to participate in tryouts. If you need to get a physical done quickly, you can go to any urgent care and get one done today. If you have any questions, please email Mr. Trombley (DTrombley02@cvs.k12.mi.us)

After a student makes the cut for the basketball team, there are additional steps that need to be completed.

Remind 101- All student athletes and their parents are expected to be signed up for the Algonquin Boys Basketball Remind 101 group. Instructions on how to join can be found above, as we get closer to the start of the season. If you have any questions, please email Mr. Trombley.

Pay for Warm-up T-shirt- About a week after cuts are made, Mr. Trombley will be assigning a fee to each player in PaySchools Central for their warm-up t-shirt. Mr. Trombley will send a Remind101 out when the fee is assigned to all of the players. Parents can check PaySchools Central periodically to see if the payment is there and can be paid.
