Dear Parent/Guardian,

It has come to our attention that Vaping (a substitute for cigarettes) is potentially a dangerous practice. Due to the fact that users are substituting its liquid core with alternate substances, i.e., marijuana, acid, and other hard core drugs, any, and all, items associated with Vaping will be treated as drug paraphernalia. Similar to all other drug-related offenses, students who are Vaping, or in possession of Vaping paraphernalia, will be subject to a 10 day out-of-school suspension.

Our schools are drug-free zones and we will continue to send a strong message that drugs and associated paraphernalia will not be tolerated on our campuses. We are committed to maintaining a safe environment for all students.

Sincerely,

Edward G. Skiba

Assistant Superintendent of Educational Services
