PARENTS
At Chippewa
Valley Schools we believe that parent involvement is the key to a
great education. Throughout the school year, parents attend
meetings, conferences, building and extracurricular events.
To better
communicate with our parents, we sponsor parent-teacher
conferences in the fall and spring. These conferences provide an
opportunity for parents to discuss their child’s progress with
our teaching staff. We also sponsor educational nights throughout
the year designed to help with a variety of parenting issues and
topics.
Below are some quick links to important information.
PARENTS, CVS NOW
OFFERS A CONVENIENT ALL-DAY PROGRAM FOR KINDERGARTENERS!
Cherokee
and Ojibwa Elementary School will offer a new all-day, every-other
day Kindergarten Program for families living within their
attendance boundaries.
Children will attend Kindergarten on 5 full days over 2 weeks in
place of 10 - 1/2 days. On their "off" school days,
parents can enroll their child in a Kindergarten Plus
Program that offers enrichment activities and hands-on learning
experiences that build on our Kindergarten curriculum. Kindergarten
Plus is optional and is offered at a nominal price.
Parents who do not wish to enroll their child in Kindergarten
Plus can elect to have their child at home on the alternate
days. Bus
transportation will be provided to and from school for students
living within regular busing (school’s attendance) area.
This all-day program will be offered to the school’s
resident families first, but once those requests have been filled
we will open it up to other District students.
