Summer 2008 Parenting Workshops

CARE is announcing the kick-off of the Summer 2008 Series of Systematic Training for Effective Parenting (STEP) skill-building courses for parents being offered from June-August, 2008.

These group format workshops will give parents helpful techniques to improve communication, encourage cooperation, plus effective discipline strategies that promote both self-esteem and mutual respect within the family.  Courses will be offered to parents and caregivers of children in the following age groups:

Birth to Age 5            Parenting Young Children-FREE         

Specialty workshops will be offered in the following areas:

• Teaching and Leading Children

• Strengthening Your Stepfamily

• Skills for Managing Anger Series for Adults
