CABLE TELEVISION
Chippewa Valley provides cable programming for the residents of
our school community through Comcast and Wide Open West Cable
Companies. Throughout the year, student activities, performances,
and sporting events are taped and broadcast. In addition, the
School District also airs informational videotapes highlighting
special programs and student and staff achievements.
Chippewa
Valley Cable is increasingly recognized as a source of School
District information by parents, staff, and community members. A
community calendar system runs each day displaying pertinent
information such as job postings, school activities, meeting
dates, and lunch menus. Information is accessed and updated
on-site.
Chippewa Valley Cable continues to increase programs and services.
This expansion includes the use of high school student
videographers and freelance personnel. This unique training
program allows students who may have an interest in radio or
television with an opportunity to gain valuable hands-on job
experience.
In
addition, videos are scripted, taped, and edited by the Chippewa
Valley Community Relations Department. These videos are aired on
the cable channel as well as used at the building level to educate
parents and students on pertinent school issues and programs.
